私が知らない七宝の魅力。Charm of enamel works.

今日、ヨーロッパなど海外でも活動されている七宝作家の飯尾京子先生とお会いしました。

彼女の作品は、私が今まで見てきた七宝作品の概念を覆すような物でした。

私の中では、七宝というと明治工芸に代表される並河靖之の作品のようなイメージしかありませんでした。

飯尾先生の作品は、ただ技術の素晴らしさを見せつける明治工芸の作品とは異なり、芸術性が高くとても表現豊かな物でした。（絵画表現に近い感じで、パステル画のような優しい色使いだなと思いました。）

有線七宝の場合たいてい銀線を使うのですが、飯尾先生の作品はほとんど金線を使っています。そのため、私の知っている七宝作品の印象とは異なりました。

釉薬の中に金色のラインが入っている様子が、とても素敵です。七宝釉薬とゴールドって相性が良いんだなぁと思いました。

例えるなら、パールとゴールドの組み合わせのような感じです。しっくりくるんです！

飯尾先生の色使いとの相性が良いだけなのかも知れませんが、私はあの雰囲気とても好きです。

今度、工房に遊びに行く約束をしました！楽しみです！

Work of Kyoko Iio, unlike the Meiji craft works show off the wonders of technology, it is very expressive ones high artistry.

In the case of wired enamel most people usually use a silver wire, but the work of Kyoko Iio has almost using the gold wire. For this reason, it was quite different from the impression of I know enamel work.

I love the atmosphere of her work.
